The use of activated carbon in the Tsumeb and Kombat mines, which alter the selectivity of primary metallogenic minerals from mixed concentrates, has played a major role in the development of separation technology. Its main minerals include berylite, chalcopyrite and galena, followed by pyrite, sphalerite, chalcocite and trace arsenic tetrahedrite, very regular. In the eastern part of the site, burnt copper and chalcopyrite have been shown to be widely distributed with galena. Sphalerite is usually symbiotic with the rich-brimmed copper ore section and is irregularly distributed with no economic significance.
