Among the population over 40 in China, 44.4% of the total deaths from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and about 3 million from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases die each year. Hypertension is an important risk factor for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
