我国正处在社会主义的初级阶段,这个初级阶段,是特指我国在生产力落后、商品经济不发达条件下建设社会主义必然要经历的特定阶段。马克思主义历来认为,我们判断任何一种社会性质或发展阶段,都不能从主观的愿望出发,而必须从生产关系即经济基础出发,“生产关系总合起来就构成为所谓社会关系,构成为所谓社会。并且是构成为一个处于一定历史发展阶段上的社会,具有独特的特征的社会。”(《马克思恩格斯选集》第1卷第363页)搞清楚社会主义初级阶段的经济特征,对于制定正确的方针和政策,促进社会主义现代化建设具有十分重要的意义。本文拟就此谈点粗浅认识。
