本研究立足于质化研究,从结构化角度探讨大学生与父母各自社会关系网络在新媒体背景下的现状与变化,并重点关注双方社会关系网络如何介入代际传播过程,对二者代际传播效果产生何种影响。研究提出三种假设:新媒体的频繁使用加快了大学生社会关系网络的建构;新媒体的接触和使用行为使大学生父母的社会关系网络得以重构;大学生与其父母代际传播的过程受到各自社会关系网络及其背后潜在社会资本的影响。通过目的性抽样方法,结合深入访谈,研究初步归纳出代际传播过程在二者社会关系网络影响下的两种具体情况:大学生社会关系网络改变,父母社会关系网络不变,代际传播冲突增多;父母社会关系网络伴随大学生社会关系网络变化的同时发生改变,某种程度上会缓和代际传播的矛盾。
