“科学技术是第一生产力”,这是邓小平同志根据马克思主义原理提出的著名的科学论断。在市场经济条件下,经济的竞争,说到底是科技的竞争,是人才的竞争。世界科学技术发展史告诉我们,必须把科技与经济发展紧密结合起来,必须把科技成果尽快转化为生产力,这无论对经济发展国家,还是发展中国家都是十分重要的。这就要求科技人员必须强化继续教育,适应市场经济发展的需要。
“Science and technology are primary productive forces.” This is a well-known scientific statement put forward by Comrade Deng Xiaoping based on the principles of Marxism. Under the conditions of a market economy, economic competition is, in the final analysis, a competition in science and technology and a competition for talents. The history of world science and technology tells us that we must closely integrate science and technology with economic development. We must convert scientific and technological achievements into productive forces as quickly as possible. This is of great importance to both economic development and developing countries. This requires that scientific and technological personnel must strengthen continuing education and meet the needs of the development of a market economy.
