近代华侨投资铁路集中在清末民初,潮汕、漳厦和新宁铁路为其中典型,但近代中国铁路建设事业中的“侨力”绝不仅于此。此三条铁路既是“侨资”产物但又程度不同,既是华侨商办的交通但又多少带有“官助”色彩。它们虽同属“侨资”性质,但又在筑建地、资金源、指导思想、技术支持、运作与管理机制,以及最后命运等方面存在差异。已有研究基本按照传统的“短时段-政治事件-大人物-精英史观”的单一维度来解读华侨与近代铁路问题,使得近代侨资铁路问题的研究产生平面化现象,掩盖了华侨参与近代铁路建设的宏大且深层性史实。因此,运用社会史的研究范式,增强“长时段-日常-民众-共同体-平民史观”的历史维度的阐释,在多维度、整体性、比较式的考察中,寻得近代侨资铁路的“同质”与“异象”。
In the late Qing Dynasty and the early years of the Republic of China, the investment railroads of overseas Chinese in modern times were typical of Chaoshan, Zhangzhou and Xinning railway lines, but “Qiaoli” in modern China’s railway construction must not be limited to this. The three railways are not only the products of “overseas Chinese capital” but also of different degrees, which are not only the transportation provided by overseas Chinese businesses but also the “official help” color. Although they belong to the category of “overseas Chinese capital,” they differ in terms of construction sites, sources of funds, guiding ideology, technical support, operational and management mechanisms, and finally fate. The existing studies have basically interpreted the issue of overseas Chinese and modern railways in accordance with the traditional “short period of time - political events - big figures - the elitism of the elite” and have made the study of the overseas Chinese railways in recent years a phenomenon that has flattened the coverage of overseas Chinese participation The Grand and Deep Historical Facts of Modern Railway Construction. Therefore, using the research paradigm of social history and enhancing the historical dimension of “long period - daily - common - community - civilian history”, in the multidimensional, holistic and comparative study, find out the modern overseas Chinese capital Railway’s “homogeneity” and “vision”.
