Estimates of the biological activity of gingival squamous cell carcinoma are often classified as highly differentiated, moderately differentiated, or poorly differentiated. However, the surface of the tumor is often highly differentiated and poorly differentiated in the deep part of the infiltrate. There is no precise definition of the degree of differentiation of an individual tumor, and the relationship between differentiation and prognosis is not significant.
