学界一般将秦始皇统一六国后“车同轨、书同文”作为中国标准化活动的源头,对史前人类标准化活动鲜有述及。笔者通过研究认为,标准化思维源于人类生产实践,贯穿于人类社会发展的全过程,并随着人类的生产实践活动不断深化。旧石器时代晚期认知革命所引发的社会变革,为现代意义上的标准化活动的形成奠定了基础。形成于旧石器时代晚期,以十二平均律为基础的四声自然音阶所代表的音律(包括音阶、音准、律制),是人类社会最早的标准;贾湖骨笛的制造和使用,是迄今为止有据可考的人类历史上最早的标准化实践活动。
