现代比较流行的智能大楼的概念,是以网络系统为基础,采用结构化综合布线系统,将建筑技术、信息技术、通信技术、管理技术等多种高技术紧密结合、有机集成,实现通信自动化(CA)、办公自动化(OA)、楼宇管理自动化(BS)、消防自动化(FA)、安保自动化(SA),具有高度的先进性、经济性、效率性、舒适性、便利性、安全性的现代化高科技大楼。一般地讲,智能大楼应当具备5A的功能。而BAS是其中的一个非常重要的、必不可少的系统。 楼宇自动化系统(Building Automation System——BAS),或称楼宇自控系统、建筑物管理自动化系统等,就是将楼宇中的一些主要机电设备,如冷暖机组、空调机组、新风机组、送排风机、给排水设备、变配电设备、照明设备、电梯等,在以往只能是分开管理的,而现在则是以按照集散系统的概念,通过一个专用的网络系统,使众多的受控设备,实现分布控制、集中管理,从而达到降低能耗、延长设备寿命、提高管理水平、提供更安全、更舒适的环境的目的。
