1994年2月下旬。湖北宜昌县土城乡三岔口村村民在责任田内发现一组青铜器物。3月上旬。宜昌博物馆闻讯后，迅速派卢德佩、杨华同志前往现场调查，并将出土铜器地点进行了清理。经调查、清理和文物整理，确认所出青铜器物的地点系古代青铜器窖藏坑。
1990年12月，南京炼油厂在施工中发现一块唐代墓志。墓志为青石质，长53．5、宽47．5、厚8．5厘米。志文楷书阴刻，竖行25行，满行20～23字不等，总计521字。文字清晰，行间以浅刻竖线相隔。四周有边框(图一)。现将全文释录如下。
