In the summer of 1991, two tombs of the Han period at Longshou Village in the northern suburb of Xi'an were excavated by the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. One of them (M1) has been seriously damaged and contains only a few funeral objects. The other (M2) is in a better condition. It is a catacomb with a ramp, measures 19.88m in overall length from the north to the south, and consists of a ramp, a passage, side rooms and a chamber. Its funeral objects include pottery, bronzes, irons, silverware, tins, jades and bone artifacts. Among them the most important discovery is a suit of iron armor decorated with gold and silver applique. The whole batch of unearthed data constitutes noteworthy new evidence for the study of Han tombs in Xi'an and the Guanzhong area. The typological features of the grave goods show that Tomb M2 should be dated to the early Western Han period.

傅家遗址位于山东省广饶县城关镇傅家村，北距县城约1．5公里。地处鲁北平原北部、莱州湾西岸，东距淄河约5公里，北距小清河约14公里。潍高公路从遗址南部东西穿过。临近有五村、钟家等古代遗址。这里地势平坦、气候宜人，为古代人类提供了良好的生息环境(图一)。
在今郑州市人民公园一带，分布着丰富的商代文化遗存。20世纪50年代初期，中国科学院考古研究所和河南省文物工作队曾在此进行过发掘，并确立了郑州商代文化的“人民公园期”。1995年5月，为配合郑州市九洲房屋开发公司的拆迁建设住宅小区工程，经报上级文物主管部门批准，郑州市文物考古研究所在此进行了考古发掘。
1988年5月4日，安徽省六安地区砖瓦厂在取土过程中发现汉墓一座，我馆接到报告后即派员赶往现场。墓葬位于六安市区东郊约10华里，南距312国道(合肥—六安)400米，北距战国、西汉时期古城——东古城约11华里。
1999年是殷墟甲骨文发现100周年。8月中旬，在甲骨文的故乡——河南省安阳市召开了“殷墟甲骨文发现100周年国际学术研讨会”，来自海内外的200多名甲骨学、商代历史和商代考古学专家齐集殷都，交流研究心得，共商发展大计，大会开得非常成功。
