The transformation of students’ learning styles is the core of curriculum reform, and also an important issue that front-line teachers have been constantly exploring and researching. Mathematical experiment is a kind of learning mode which is mainly based on the students’ hands. However, letting the students experience the complete process of experimental exploration is the key to mathematical experiment. This paper discusses the general steps of mathematical experiment teaching with the example of “polygon on the nail plate”.
