Japanese scientists use a new type of medical diode laser manufactured by Hamatsu Photonics K-K Japan for microvascular anastomosis. They used mice for laser-assisted vascular anastomosis (LAVA) and conventional microvascular suture (CMSA) comparative study. And that the diode laser is different from argon laser, neodymium-yttrium aluminum (?) Stone laser, CO_2 laser for medical treatment. The laser volume 30 × 25 × 10cm ~ 3, weight 3Kg. The 830nm laser beam is transmitted via a flexible cable to a 200μm ceramic contact probe. The new device power range of 15 ~ 190mW. Scientists use 60mW of power. 3 ~ 5 190W per square centimeter of laser
