Microsoft’s Internet Informatin Server 3.0, which is basically an IIS 2.0 Web server plus a few other products, is not the same as the upcoming version 4.0, and it appears that a major upgrade has taken place. But like the Home Shopping Network method in IIS 3.0, Server 4.0 has a lot of special places. With integrated Microsoft Management Console, IIS management has been completely handled. IIS 4.0 is the first product to use MMC, a feature that will become a standard feature in Windows NT 5.0. With this interface, ZD Labs have better control over web server settings than using IIS 3.0 management tools and can set access control and other attributes at the file level
