坑探工作中一般濕式鑿岩所使用的供水方法多為分散的單獨水桶供水,而水桶的容積一般都較小,就以直徑0.4米,高1米的水桶計算,其容量也只有125公升。如果按着“地質坑探技術規程”关于防塵的規定:輕型鑿岩機冲洗水的消耗量不得少於3公升/分,則一桶水僅能使用45分鐘左右,這樣一個班就得灌7~8次水,以致大大降低了純鑿岩時間(實際上目前我們鑿岩機水的消耗量最多是1公升/分,這是違反关于防塵規定的)。因此,我們根據實際需要,設計了一种連續水桶(如圖),其外形仍然與普通水桶一樣,中間有一隔板將桶隔為左右兩半,並各设有進氣管
