《中华人民共和国消防法》的颁布,是贯彻党的十五大提出的“依法治国,建设社会主义法治国家”的基本方略的一项重要措施,是全国广大公安消防干警企盼已久的一件大喜事,是我国消防工作全面走上社会主义法制轨道的一座里程碑。这部消防工作根本大法的诞生,为在建立社会主义市场经济体制的新形势下,加快消防工作的改革与发展,维护公共安全,提供了有力的法律保障,也寄托了各级领导和社会各界对建设一支高素质公安消防队伍的殷切希望。 各级公安消防机构和广大公安消防干警,必须树立高度的事业心和责任感,迅速落实公安部的部署,认真学习、广泛宣传、深入贯彻《消防法》,全面加强公安消防队伍的革命化、正规化、现代化建设,进一步增强政治、业务素质,切实提高消防执法水平和灭火救援战斗力,推动消防工作的改革与发展,忠实地履行法律赋予我们的神圣职责,完成好保卫社会主义现代化建设的重要历史使命。
