瀑布沟水电站位于大渡河中游,总库容50.64亿立方米,装机容量300万千瓦左右,保证出力92万千瓦,多年平均发电量140亿度,建成后还可增加下游龚嘴、铜街子两水电站的保证出力21万千瓦,经济效益十分显著。现正在进行可行性研究。坝址河床覆盖层深75米,在覆盖层上建设一座高188米的土石坝,从基岩到坝顶的最大高度达250米左右,坝址周围是强地震区,防渗土料质量和数量也不理想,工程的技术难度较大。在1986年6月选坝技术讨论会倾向于上坝址的基础上,我院进行了大量工作,并在1987年4月21日至25日邀请水电部水利水电规划设计院、昆明院、中南院、西北院、华东院、黄委会设计院、基础公司、北京水科院、南京水科院、河海大学、清华大学、成都科技大学汪闻韶等19位专家就高土石坝有关问题进行了工程技术咨询。到会代表一致认为瀑布沟工程工作深度可以满足可行性研究阶段的要求,选用土石坝型是适合坝址地质条件的,技术上是可行的,经济上是合理的,可以作为可行性研究的基础。与会专家对高土石坝有关主要技术问题咨询意见如下。

In June 1986, the technical seminar on dam selection tended to be on the basis of the dam site, our hospital carried out a great deal of work and invited the Ministry of Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design Institute, Kunming Hospital, Central South China from April 21 to April 25, 1987 Nineteen experts from Northwest Hospital, East China Hospital, East China Hospital, Yellow Design Institute, Basic Company, Beijing Water Science Institute, Nanjing Water Science Institute, Hohai University, Tsinghua University and Chengdu University of Science and Technology Wang Wen Shao Engineering and technical advice. Delegates to the meeting agreed that the working depth of Pubugou project can meet the requirements of the feasibility study stage. The selection of earth-rock dam type is suitable for the geological conditions of the dam site, which is technically feasible and economically reasonable and can be used as the basis for feasibility study .
