水表在水流量计量中由于结构简单、性能可靠、维修方便而被广泛采用。目前国内生产的水表按其用途可分为冷水表和热水表。冷水表一般用来计量0~+40℃的水,热水表计量+50~90℃的水。按其结构又可分为旋翼式水表和水平螺翼式水表。旋翼式水表量程范围较宽,对较小流量计量精度高,但水头损失大,中口径的体积大。水平螺翼式水表正相反,对小流量计量精度差,量程范围稍窄,但流通能力大,水头损失小,体积小。若按水表计数器的型式亦可分为湿式水表和干式水表。湿式水表
