对比研究了Φ8mm的高铬铸铁和轴承钢磨球,结果表明,高铬铸铁磨球具有比轴承钢球更优良的抵抗磨粒磨损及腐蚀磨损的组织与性能。高铬铸铁磨球硬度比轴承钢球高6~9HRC,抵抗冲击破坏的能力比轴承钢球高10倍以上,在干态和湿态两种三体磨损条件下,高铬铸铁磨球耐磨性也比轴承钢球提高2~60%,其成本仅相当于轴承钢球售价的1/2左右。因此在生产中应用高铬铸铁球取代轴承钢球会产生显著的经济效益。
