对选文中的修辞手法即修辞格的理解,内容大致有三:一是运用了什么修辞手法,相当于上题所述对修辞格的判断;二是表达了什么意思、含义、思想感情等.这主要是对思想内容的理解;三是起了什么作用,有何妙处。这主要是对修辞效果的理解.在测试环境中,有时是单项理解,主要是思想内容.修辞效果的理解;有时则是综合理解,综合分析修辞手法及其含义、效果等。其题型,主要有选择题、判断题、简答题等.遇上选择题,先不要忙于作出选择,而先要对选文中的修辞手法进行一番“独立自主”的理解.
