Cylinder liner is one of the main components of marine diesel engine, made of low alloy cast iron, usually two kinds of processes, one is centrifugal casting, the other is sand casting. Centrifugal casting with internal organization of the casting fine, high utilization of metal advantages. However, if the process parameters are not properly controlled, the castings are prone to various defects, especially for cylinder liners with an inner diameter greater than 200 mm.
