OBJECTIVE: To detect two gene fragments, kgp-cd and rgpB-cd, in gingival crevicular of Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg) in atherosclerotic plaque with coronary artery disease and chronic periodontitis. The relationship between the presence and absence of periodontal clinical indicators. Methods Fifty-four patients with chronic periodontitis and coronary heart disease were enrolled in this study. The kappa-cd and rgpB-cd gene fragments were detected in P.g-positive coronary atherosclerotic plaques. According to the presence or absence of the two gene fragments, P.gp was divided into A and B type, analysis of different genotypes P and periodontal clinical indicators. Results The detection rate of type A Pg was higher (84.21%) than that of type B (15.79%) (P <0.05). There was statistical difference between A and B genotypes Significance (P <0.05). Conclusion Chronic periodontitis-associated pathogens may play an important role in the occurrence and development of coronary heart disease. The genes of kgp-cd and rgpB-cd are related to the pathogenicity of P.g.
