近几年来,民办性质的独立学院在高等教育普及化及大众化的推动下发展迅猛。结合目前我省独立学院大学英语教学还不够成熟、不够完善,面临教学对象、教学内容、教学手段及方法、师资队伍等各方面的问题。本文就如何开展独立学院大学英语教学改革,提高独立学院英语教学质量,培养适应海峡西岸经济发展的应用型专门人才进行了探讨。
