The latest geological map reveals the marine terraces on both sides of the San Gregorio fault zone. We delineated 6 ocean terraces on the Cape Pinotto structural block (west of the San Gregorio fault zone), and on the eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains tectonic block (east of the San Gregorio fault zone) Six of the seven terraces corresponded well, with only the Cement Terraces on the Santa Cruz Mountains tectonic zone in Pitkin Point
