坚定不移地关心、支持各少数民族的政治、经济和文化的全面发展,沿着社会主义道路不断前进,逐步实现各民族事实上的平等——这是我们党的民族工作的总方针。宁夏日报作为宁夏回族自治区党委机关报,根据这一总方针,在努力搞好民族地区报道,宣传党的民族政策方面作了一些探索,积累了一些经验。我报1984年创办的《民族团结》专版,为发展宁夏民族经济,促进民族团结进步事业作出了积极贡献,曾先后两次被评为全国和宁夏回族自治区“民族团结进步”先进集体,受到国务院、国家民委和中共宁夏回族自治区党委、宁夏回族自治区人民政府的表彰。一党的十一届三中全会以后,全党、全国的工作重点转移到社会主义现代化建设上来,与之相适应,民族工作的重心和报纸宣传的重点也必须转移到发展少数民族地区经济建设上来。发展少数民族地区经济,对逐步实现各民族事实上的平等,促进各民族之间的团结进步有着极其重要、深远的意义。在我们这样一个多民族的社会主义国家里,一些
