当人们来到鄂西历史名城当阳县时,立即会产生怀古之情。三国时代的英雄好汉曾经在这里留下许多故事。赵子龙长板坡单骑救主,张冀德当阳桥头一声吼,喝退曹操百万兵,这些脍炙人口的美妙故事,给人们留下了深刻的印象。然而就在桥西十五公里处的玉泉山麓,有一座始建于东汉建安二十七年(公元198年)的玉泉古刹,历史悠久,建筑宏伟。寺内珍藏着隋大业十一年(公元615年)铸造的重三千斤的大铁镬(hu(?))和铁钟、铁鼎等许多精致文物,但最引人注目的,还是寺前那座高耸入云的大型铸铁塔(图1)。这座高大的铁塔名棱金铁塔,又名如来舍利塔,因为座落在玉泉山下的玉泉古寺前,所以人们一般称它为玉泉铁塔。据塔的第二层铸的文字记载,该塔建于宋嘉祐四年(公元1061年),高23米,重约
When people come to the historic city of western Hubei when Dangyang County, will immediately produce nostalgia. Heroes of the Three Kingdoms era have left many stories here. The temple is home to a large collection of three kilos of iron (hu (?)) Iron foundry eleven years (AD 615) and many exquisite relics such as Tiezhong and Tieding, but most notably, Block towering towering cast iron tower (Figure 1). This tall tower famous Prismatic Tower, also known as Tathagata stupa, because it is located in front of Yuquan ancient Yuquan Temple, so people generally call it the Yuquan Tower. According to the tower of the second layer of cast records, the tower was built in Song Jiayou four years (AD 1061), 23 meters high, weighing about
