2007年8月23日。青海东昆仑山海拔6178米的玉珠峰顶,响起手风琴声和雄浑低沉的男中音。原创歌曲《伊犁河》的曲调,飘荡在高天流云、皑皑群峰之间,响彻天宇。2008年10月18日下午,乌鲁木齐尼雅音乐酒吧。用5种不同形式演绎、8种语言演唱的MTV《伊犁河》(CD碟),首发式正在举行。当大屏幕出现海拔6178米的玉珠峰,英刚伴着手风琴放歌的画面时,与会者一阵惊呼:奇迹!真是奇迹!为拍摄这部极具震撼力的《伊犁河》MTV,英刚7年间先后3次登上玉珠峰。
