现代工业的飞速发展,造成了能源消耗的急骤增长,带来了世界性的能源危机。为了对付人类面临的这一大威胁,迅速开展了节能技术的研究。根据有关统计资料分析,一个国家的国民经济总产值的二分之一,能源的三分之一是消耗在摩擦上。机械零件失效有三种形式:断裂、腐蚀和磨损。其中磨损失效占百分之六十到八十。机械行业的材料消耗约占成本的一半,大批的配件生产耗费了大量能源和材料。因而在磨损上任何一点节约,都会给社会带来巨大的经济效益。
