One of the poorest countries in the world, Haiti is an island in the northern part of the Caribbean Sea, the land that Hades suffered the strongest earthquake in 200 years two years ago. Rachel Wheeler, a 12-year-old town girl in Florida, laughs, giggles and loves to dance with her classmates. She feels that Haiti’s children can only eat cookies made of mud, that they can only sleep in a boarding room. Every time she goes to Haiti, she brings gifts, food, books ... Three years of hard work have doubled her promise to make a loud noise when standing on a chair at the age of nine. She set up a real “home” for 27 Haitian families. The village of Haiti, named after Rachel, had more people follow Haiti in action, but she said she was “little cherry on ice cream.”
