在公众的印象里,档案是与国家大事密切相关的,最起码也得和一般国家机关企事业单位挂钩,与具体的某个人似乎关系不大。其实档案门类的形成经历了逐步发展、不断完善的过程,从最初的党和国家机关的“一般档案材料”中,分出了“财会档案”、“干部档案”;又从“技术档案”和“技术资料”不分的状况中分离出“技术档案”等等,直至如今的“公共档案事业”“民生档案”种种提法,不难发现档案服务的对象越来越大众
