问有许多文言文译本,早的如解放前姚稚翔的《古文观止》,近的如各册《教学参考书》,在遇到文言文中“呜呼”与“嗟夫(乎)”的时候,几乎都将其翻译为“唉”。这似乎表明“呜呼”与“嗟夫(乎)”是同义的。难道是这样的吗?二者在引文上表情达意的程度究竟有没有差异呢? 答这两个感叹词在引文的表达作用上有其共同点,即在感叹之后,都要引出一段文字。然而引出的文字在表达内涵上有着很大的差异:一个属于饱含激情的哭诉,偏重于感情的抒发;一个则是充满理智的议论,侧重于理论上的阐
There are many translations of classical Chinese. As early as the liberation period, Yao Zhixiang’s “View of Classical Literature” and the recent “Education Reference Books” are almost always the same when he encounters classical Chinese sayings and “wife”. Its translation is “唉”. This seems to indicate that “Whihu” and “Wife” are synonymous. Is this the case? Is there a difference in the degree of expression in the citations? A. These two interjections have their common ground in the expression of citations, that is, after the exclamation, they must draw a paragraph of text. However, the quoting words have very different meanings in their expression: one is a passionate cry, which emphasizes the bursting of emotions, and the other is a sensible argument that focuses on theoretical explanations.
