世界卫生组织(WHO)在2006年2月16～18日召开的罗马会议上,号召奋力争取更强有力的全球合作、政治承诺和创新解决方法,试图加快与假冒药物作斗争,并呼吁立即对假冒药物的日趋流行采取具体行动,从而针对这一日益严重的健康威胁寻找全球解决方案。WHO的目标是建立一个由所有主要相关方面参加的全球专题小组；该专题小组将注重于立法和执法、贸易、风险交流和创新技术解决办法,包括应用新技术发现假冒药物的公私行动以及向发展中国家转让技术。
At the Rome meeting held from February 16 to 18, 2006, the World Health Organization (WHO) called for struggling for stronger global cooperation, political commitment and innovative solutions in an attempt to speed up the fight against counterfeit drugs and called for an immediate Take concrete action to increase the prevalence of counterfeit medicines and find a global solution to this growing health threat. WHO’s goal is to establish a global task force with all major stakeholders involved; this task force will focus on legislative and enforcement, trade, risk communication and innovative technological solutions, including public-private actions to detect counterfeit drugs using new technologies, Chinese home transfer technology.
