习语是语言的精华,是各民族语言经过长期使用而提炼出来的。它是人民生活经验的结晶,是语言文化财富中的瑰宝,具有丰富的内涵和独特的文化背景。因此翻译习语时,对两国的文化特色进行比较并作恰当的处理显得尤为重要。中日两国均有其固有的习语,它们清晰地体现出了各自不同的传统文化。由于中日两国同属于东亚汉字文化圈,文化交流源远流长,造就了两国文化许多共通点和极为接近的特质。而日语习语的汉译过程不仅是日语到汉语的语言的转换过程,也是日本文化移植的过程。故本文将着重探讨中日文化差异及日语习语的汉译策略。
Idioms are the essence of language and are extracted from long-term use of various ethnic languages. It is the crystallization of the people’s life experience, a treasure in the language and cultural wealth, and it has a rich connotation and a unique cultural background. Therefore, when translating idioms, it is especially important to compare the cultural features of the two countries and make appropriate treatment. Both China and Japan have their own idioms, which clearly reflect their different traditional cultures. As China and Japan belong to the cultural circle of East Asian Chinese characters, cultural exchanges have a long history, creating a common and extremely similar quality of the two cultures. The process of Chinese translation of Japanese idioms is not only the conversion process of Japanese to Chinese language, but also the process of Japanese cultural transplantation. Therefore, this article will focus on the cultural differences between China and Japan and the Chinese translation strategies for Japanese idioms.
