六年前,谭彦翘先生曾将平生治印所辑而成的印存八卷交付与我,嘱余择优而选之,意欲刊印。年逾眉寿的老人有此之托,却之不恭,又恐有遗珠之憾,乃反复拜观,遂编成《钝庵印概》印行,算是对谭先生印作先有所知。该集付梓之时,先生又命我作序文。作为晚生后学,岂敢置言于首,故撰跋尾,以作拜观记言。今值先生九十寿诞,复修拙文作为对谭氏书法篆刻艺术研究的引玉之砖。
