高速柴油机常患有气缸套穴蚀、燃油消耗高及活塞第一环槽不耐磨等弊病。近年来,法国、日本等国家致力于将高速柴油机由预燃室式的燃烧系统改制为直接喷射式的燃烧系统,接踵而来的是爆发压力升高,活塞的机械负荷和热负荷便会随之提高。文中介绍了12V180ZJ型柴油机整体薄壁球铁活塞的研制情况。研制工作包括采用先进的计算及试验手段对该型活塞进行了科学的设计,选择了该活塞的振荡冷却系统;并开展了球铁活塞对柴油机整机动力性能影响的分析。经过实际装车运用考核,球铁活塞承载能力高,且延缓了气缸套和机体的穴蚀,达到了预期的目的。为预燃室式向直接喷射式柴油机转化,提供了强化储备。
