1978年3月12日成都市自来水公司在成都市人民中路铺设管道时发现了一处古钱币窖藏,经成都市文物考古部门清理后,断定为唐代钱币窖藏。钱币贮藏在一个高约0.8米的大灰陶瓮之中,其上用石板和6厘米厚的青砖封口。瓮口距地表深约1.1米,瓮已破损。出土的钱币重量约有200千克。经拣选、整理、分类,发现其品种绝大部分均系唐代开元通宝、乾元重宝。此外,还存在少许唐代之前的钱币。
On March 12, 1978, Chengdu City Water Company discovered an ancient coin cellar while laying pipes in People’s Middle Road in Chengdu. After being cleared by the department of cultural relics and archeology of Chengdu, Chengdu City Water Company determined that it was the cellar of Tang Dynasty. The coins were stored in a large gray ceramic urn about 0.8 meters high, sealed with slate and 6 cm thick bricks. Vat mouth about 1.1 meters deep from the surface, urn has been damaged. Unearthed coins weighing about 200 kg. After sorting, sorting, classification, found that most of the varieties are the Department of Kaiyuan Tongbao of the Tang Dynasty, Qianyuan. In addition, there are a few coins before the Tang Dynasty.
