在“大众创新,万众创业”的背景下,基于中小企业转型升级的现状,长沙市应大力鼓励开设中小企业创业与经营管理专业。开设该专业是各级各类政策关于创新教育教育的迫切要求,是中小企业的转型升级需要大量的创业与经营人才的迫切要求,是学校“十三五”规划对专业群建设提出更高要求的迫切要求,是高校已经成为全社会创新创业新兴力量中不可或缺的组成部分的迫切要求,是相当部分家族希望下一代接班人具备创业与经营的基本素质与能力的迫切要求和带动整个学校创新创业氛围形成的迫切要求。同时,开设该专业具有符合十三五期间专业建设规划、中小企业创业与经营人才需求量大、具备了良好的办学基础和在湖南省高校中同类专业少等现实可行性。
