After the First World War, U.S. military aircraft developed. In the mid-1820s, Curtiss Aircraft's early fighter PW-8 was competing with Boeing Aircraft's PW-9. Shortly after Curtiss PW-8 was officially put into production on the P-1 model, the Boeing PW-9 was also mass-produced by the P-12 after being converted to a new engine and was adopted by the United States Army Aviation Corps F4B for the model provided to the US Naval Air Corps as an aircraft carrier.
