亚洲金融危机之前,韩国的几大财团创造了令世界瞩目的经济奇迹。亚洲金融危机暴露出韩国大企业脆弱的一面,大宇倒闭,现代解体,但是三星通过结构调整大大提高了竞争力。在2001年美国《财富》世界500强排行榜中,三星有三家公司进入。其中,三星电子占92位,三星物产是105位,三星生物是222位。三星现在拥有世界市场上占有率第一的产品有17种。按照总额来算,他们在世界500强里排第17位。
Before the Asian financial crisis, several consortia in South Korea had created economic miracles that caught the attention of the world.
