一、铸机简介与操作南方线材公司连续生产线材法(简称SCR法)在铝线和铜线方面的成功,促使它制定了类似的生产钢材的研制方案。一台直径8呎(2.44米)的铸机安装在大西洋钢公司佐治亚州Cartersville工厂的浇注跨内。在这台铸机上,按图1所示的三种拉坯方式进行了试验。实验所用钢水的含碳量范围为0.06~0.66%,铸坯断面尺寸为4.4吋~2(28.39厘米~2)、4.8吋~2(30.97厘米~2)和8.1吋~2(52.26厘米~2)。
I. Introduction and operation of casting machine The success of the continuous production of wire rod method (SCR method) by Southern Wire Company in terms of aluminum wire and copper wire has prompted it to formulate a similar plan for the production of steel products. A 8 ft. (2.44 m) caster was installed inside the cast-in-trawler at the Atlantic Steel Company’s Cartersville, Georgia facility. On this caster, the tests were carried out according to the three drawing methods shown in FIG. 1. The molten steel used in the experiment has a carbon content in the range of 0.06 to 0.66%. The cross-sectional dimensions of the slab range from 4.4 to 2 (28.39 cm 2), 4.8 to 2 (30.97 cm 2) and 8.1 to 2 (52.26 cm -2 ).
