Conventional methods of making blocks, such as sintering and pellets, have been greatly developed in terms of production technology and building block performance through long-term research and practice. As blast furnace charge of such blocks, both have some good performance, but also its shortcomings. However, the conventional method has its drawbacks that can not be overcome. Considering the finer grain size of iron ore powder to be used in the future, Nippon Steel Corporation has developed a new type of building block method that differs from the conventional one in that block making performance can be greatly improved. Since 1978, the company has launched a new building block
