该研究旨在开发经济实用且具有高结合强度的白土填料,以改善纸张物理性能的同时降低材料总成本。考察了白土填料在挂面纸板和其他等级纸板中的应用情况。新型的淀粉包覆填料技术可使轻量涂布纸和纸板在5%~10%的填料用量下即可达到预期的光学性能,同时不影响强度。这为增加纸张中的填料含量,提高纸张强度以及改善纸张印刷性能提供了成本较低的方法。实验室和中试结果都表明,淀粉包覆白土技术使填料-纤维结合强度和纸张松厚度得到明显改善。中试结果还表明,随着淀粉包覆白土用量的增加,纸料的脱水性能也得到了改善,从而可以提高颜料相对缺乏的挂面纸板生产厂的产量。
The study aimed to develop economical and practical clay fillers with high bond strength to improve the physical properties of the paper while reducing the overall material cost. The application of clay filler in liner board and other grades of paper was examined. The new starch-coated filler technology enables light-weight coated paper and board to achieve the desired optical performance at filler loading levels of 5% to 10% without compromising strength. This provides a lower cost method for increasing the filler content in the paper, increasing the paper strength and improving the paper printing performance. Laboratory and pilot results show that starch-coated clay technology significantly improves filler-fiber bond strength and paper bulk. The results of the pilot test also showed that with the increase in the amount of starch coated clay, the dewatering performance of the paper stock has also been improved, thereby increasing the relative lack of pigment production of the linerboard production plant.
