什么叫名词化? 第六期阅读材料中有这样一句: 1. The indexing attachment is especially useful for the accurate division of parts that have relatively large diameters. 句中的斜体部分可以改换成: 1’……if we have to accurately divide parts that have relatively large diameters. 两个斜体部分意思基本相同。例1,中用的是句子形式,例1中用的是以division为中心词的名词短语。这种转换称为名词化。名词化短语使句子简练,传递的信息较多,在科技英语中用得很多。名词化短语的基本结构表示动作意义的中心名词后面通常用of短语表达动作的对象(客体),如例1中的parts,或者表达动作的发出者(主体),如:
