作为西方文学伟大的支撑,《圣经》的教义遍及西方社会各个领域,当时西方文学与《圣经》元素的相互渗透是必然的作品创作趋势。在《愤怒的葡萄》中,美国杰出作家约翰·斯坦贝克将《圣经》元素巧妙融合在小说的结构与人物原型之中,通过对“葡萄”象征意义的丰富来达到既定的叙事目的,因此《圣经》也成为了《愤怒的葡萄》中不可缺少的精神支柱,这部作品的出现震惊了当时的美国文学界。本文对《愤怒的葡萄》中的《圣经》典故及“葡萄”的象征意义进行了深入分析。
As the great support of western literature, “Bible” doctrine spreads in all fields of western society. At that time, the mutual infiltration of Western literature and “Bible” is the inevitable trend of creation. In “Angry Grapes”, the outstanding American writer John Steinbeck has skillfully integrated the elements of the Bible into the structure and character prototype of the novel, achieving the intended purpose of narration through the enrichment of the symbolic meaning of “Grape” Therefore, “Bible” also became the indispensable spiritual pillar in “Angry Grapes”.
