From the beginning of the twentieth century, there has been a gradual polarization between Keynesianism and the neo-liberal school of thought over the government’s intervention in the economy. Economic development should be based on government intervention or rely on the market self-regulation, become the subject of economic and social controversy. This paper argues that government intervention in public finance through government intervention can affect economic growth. However, for developing countries, too large or too small government intervention is not conducive to economic development. Only by basing ourselves on national conditions and choosing a reasonable and appropriate scale of government intervention can we promote the steady economic development.
