In order to explore the application of reinforced earth structure on soft soil foundation, combining with the characteristics of soft soil foundation in Ningbo, we chose the Liaoyuan Bridge abutment as the experimental project of reinforced earth composite abutment. After more than six months of design and construction, we have gained some experience in the design principles and construction techniques of reinforced earthwork, laying a foundation for further promoting the new structure of reinforced earth in our region.
