The “Abrasion-Resistant Concrete Ground Research” project jointly undertaken by the Second Design and Research Institute of the Ministry of Electromechanical Engineering and jointly with Shanghai Jianke Institute passed the expert appraisal organized by the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Construction in Hangzhou on June 11, 1991. The project lasted for three years. Through three phases of feasibility study, experimental research and engineering research, the wear resistance mechanism was fully demonstrated. New types of wear-resistant aggregates were successfully developed, reinforced composite technologies were introduced, and specific construction techniques were formed.
