【Objective】 To observe the effects of different feeding methods on mortality, body weight, hematology, blood biochemistry, epinephrine and major organ coefficients of guinea pigs, and provide theoretical basis for the feeding management of guinea pigs. 【Method】 Eighty Hartley guinea pigs were randomly divided into five groups: group A (stainless steel cage with normal feed group), group B (plastic cage with normal feed group), group C (plastic box with normal feed + VitC group ), Group D (large plastic box feeding ordinary feed + anti-stress formula water group), group E (large plastic box feeding modified feed + VitC group), 16 in each group, male and female. The animals were kept for 14 days to observe the changes of body weight on the 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th and 14th days in guinea pigs, and the growth curves were drawn. On the 7th and 14th days, the hematology, blood biochemistry and adrenaline levels of guinea pigs were measured, Coefficient, the imminent death of guinea pigs immediately test blood levels of epinephrine. 【Results】 The changes of body weight of guinea pigs showed an upward trend at each time point. The growth of group A was slower and the growth of group E was faster. The mortality of group C, D and E was significantly reduced (P <0.05) The content of adrenaline in only the dying guinea pigs was significantly higher than the normal value (P <0.05). There was no significant difference or no physiological significance between the other groups. 【Conclusion】 The large plastic box feeding + the amount of VitC or anti-stress formula water can significantly improve the stress conditions of guinea pigs and reduce the mortality of guinea pigs.
