——Mac
My first contact with Liberal Education (“Education for Freedom,” also known as General Education) was the concept of “American Culture” in his junior year. The Liberal Education pursued by American universities is aimed at cultivating students’ all-round development. It does not aim at “professional learning”. Among them, the “philosophy” aspect of learning is placed in a very important position. Some people say that philosophy is science in science. Although philosophy cannot replace science, it guides science. Philosophy discusses not only the questions of “who I am” or “what is man” but also how people learn to think. This is also the ability that the American university in Cairo, Cairo, hopes its students can master. - Mac
