作者根据多年来对中国水稻的研究,特别是解放后对全国各个稻区的考察调查,和最近三年来选择全国各地带各季节的籼、粳和晚、中、早稻的不同生态类型的代表品种161个,在全国不同纬度和不同海拔的八个地点与当地农业研究机关协作进行这些品种对光、温条件反应特性的研究结果,认为中国各种生态类型的水(陆)稻栽培品种四万多个的演变形成与各地区的环境条件有关,尤共与各地区的生产发展要求有关。茲就这些调查研究结果概括阐述,冀对水稻的品种选育和栽培事业的发展提供一些理论性的参考资料。
Based on many years' research on Chinese rice, especially after the liberation, the author selected the representative varieties of different ecotypes of indica, japonica and late, middle and early rice in different seasons throughout the country in the recent three years 161 were selected to study the characteristics of light and temperature responses of these cultivars in collaboration with the local agricultural research institutes at eight locations across the country at different latitudes and at different elevations.
